So you just tried upgrading, and received something called the 12 Month Error. You may be wondering, what is this? Why am I getting this error to begin with? Am I unable to upgrade on my account? Don’t worry, you will still be able to upgrade. Follow the steps below, and you will be able to claim your premium in no time.


Step 1: Go claim a replacement using the account linked to your key.

Step 2: Save the upgrade link and address to Notepad or somewhere so you don't lose it

Step 3: Create a new Spotify account with a NEW email. You can use the Gmail dot trick which allows you to put a dot in your email when signing up, but will still redirect to your main email. Here is a generator which can generate thousands of dot emails for you!

Step 4: Use the saved upgrade link and address to upgrade the new account

Step 5: OPTIONAL: Transfer your playlists from your old to new Spotify account using this link.

Step 6: Contact staff via Discord to update the Spotify account's new email associated with the key in the database for future replacements so you can login with your new Spotify account to claim replacements instead.Why does this happen?

The requirements for joining a Premium Family Plan are that you live in the same country of the Family Owner and that you haven’t been part of a Family Plan for 12 months. Unfortunately, the only legal way to bypass this restriction is by following the method above. The bypass process can be somewhat tedious, but for 2-5 minutes of your time to save hundreds of dollars is worth it in the long run.

What can I do so that this problem won’t happen to me in the future?

We CAN NOT guarantee that you will not get kicked in the future, we can only guarantee a Lifetime warranty, where if you are kicked from a Family Plan you can easily claim a replacement on our website. Below are some steps that should reduce the chances of you getting kicked.

  1. Change username to "Spotify Connect" or "+ Invite" or "Invite" or "You", etc. be creative
  2. Upgrade/replace at late hours of the timezone of the country you wish to upgrade to
  3. Change profile picture to Spotify logo or something creative to not get kicked by family owner.

Again, all of this is based on LUCK. Some members have had their premium plans for well over a year now, so it all comes down to luck.
